Safeguarding Statement 

At Luxulyan School we are committed to safeguarding children. The health, safety and emotional well-being of every child are our paramount concern. Our aim is that the children will thrive during their time with us in a safe and happy environment.
 
We will work in partnership with you to enable your child to achieve their full potential.
 
Designated Safeguarding Lead at the school is:
Mr Nathan Cooper - Headteacher
 
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is:
 Tim Kellow
 
Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is:
Mrs Suzanne Le-Doux-Lucas –  Sendco
 
The Governor with responsibility for safeguarding and attendance is Mrs Annie Butler who can be contacted through the school office.
 
All of the above staff have undergone the specialist training required and are also responsible for any children in care (CiC).
 
All staff are trained in Child Protection Awareness and we have a Safeguarding/Child Protection Policy which is regularly reviewed (this is under the separate Safeguarding tab on the website).

During School Holidays
 

Please read below for what to do if you have a safeguarding concern during school holidays.

 If you have a  concern regarding safeguarding and require an urgent response, please email info@celtrust.org where a member of the team will be able to triage and signpost to the relevant member of staff on duty.  

Support for children and young people is available by contacting Cornwall’s Early Help Hub. The Early Help Hub Team are open Monday – Thursday 8:45am – 5:15pm and Friday 8:45am – 4:45pm. (Closed on Bank Holidays).  01872 322277 earlyhelphub@cornwall.gov.uk
